Sometimes it’s hard to picture what you are signing up for when it’s “virtual”. In some instances, a picture speaks a thousand words, so I thought it might be useful to share a few sneeky screendumps of the e-workshop environment, so you can see what you are signing up for.
The screen above shows you the home page. There is a short welcome video from me, plus navigation across the top so you always have your bearings, and can find the “housekeeping stuff” whenever you need it.
Down the right hand side you’ll find the dynamic links to new posts as they are published, plus all the latest chat. This is the best way to stay up to date so you even if you can’t be at the Monday morning sessions, you won’t miss anything.
Below is an example of a subject post, which you can read in your own time, and comment on or ask questions.
The structure of the 4 week course is as follows:
- Monday Morning Posts I publish posts to the blog on a Monday morning at 9.30am for 4 weeks. The posts include questions and exercises, and you can work through in your own time and speed. Each week we will cover a new subject – see the e-Workshop Agenda for more details.
- Monday Morning Chat Session 9.30am-12.30am Add your comments and questions below each post, and I will respond during the Monday morning chat session. If you aren’t available during this time, don’t worry, just post when you can, and I will respond throughout the week. Please also feel free to respond to other participants questions or comments, as this is valuable to everybody.
- Friday Report Video Don’t worry! This isn’t as scary as it sounds. This is just a new video, and an opportunity for you to consolidate your thoughts from the week into a working document, so that you know exactly what you have covered and where you are going next.
- Stay on Track For your own sake please do try to stay up to date with the content each week, so that you can get the most from the course. The pace should be manageable and motivating, but if at any time you are feeling out of your depth, or worse, unchallenged or unhappy, just let me know. The beauty is we can tailor the pace and the content as we go, so please please don’t suffer in silence if it’s not working for you, speak up right away.
The workshop website remains live for two more weeks after the end of week 4, giving you plenty of time to check back and gather all the info and downloads you need.
Simple! If you have any other questions, post below or drop me an email!
The next e-workshop starts on February 23rd 2015. Find out more here.
